Amrei Sophie Polig

Since I was 6 years old I knew that I wanted to become a midwife. At the age of 18 I left my hometown Berlin to complete my training in Augsburg.

Since then I have been working in Darmstadt as a freelance midwife in antenatal care. In addition to home visits as part of pre- and post-natal care (postpartum care), I accompany home births and offer various courses in birth preparation and post-natal exercise. I always follow an anthroposophical approach for the benefit of mother and child.

The time around pregnancy and birth is so magical and can sometimes be difficult for a variety of reasons, which is why it is great to have a midwife at your side with advice and support!

In February 2017 our daughter was born and in 2019 my little son. Now I am looking forward to a new experience at call a midwife as a complement to my other midwifery work.
